There may be many legendary series, but for Carla there is only one: Sex and the City. This young publicist from Malaga was clear that she wanted two things that she always saw in the well-known series, Carrie’s dressing room and Samantha’s independence. That’s why, after a lot of effort (and a lot of saving) she decided to buy a flat on her own and refurbish it to suit her tastes.
Carla decided to call Aquí tu Reforma to renovate her home, she was clear that she wanted to live in a minimalist and very modern home, but beyond that, she let our team advise her on all kinds of proposals. There was only one essential requirement: a dressing room.
Although the flat was not very big, the premise in Aquí tu Reforma is always to make our clients’ dreams come true. And that’s what we did. We created a renovation project for Carla where light colours predominate, so that the spaces seem larger. We also incorporated a screen in the bathroom, to gain visual amplitude and a sliding glass door in the hall. Everything to make it look like this flat has gained several square metres 😉.
And, of course, we made Carla’s long-awaited dressing room a reality. We took advantage of every available centimetre and, we don’t know if it has turned out better than Carrie’s, but Carla is delighted. Our priority was to play with white colours and lots of glass, to gain depth and make everything very visible. The lighting is also a highlight, as we completely renovated it and installed LED lights, which are more sustainable and long-lasting.
But that’s not the end of this spectacular renovation… The renovation of the walls and floors is a radical change and the chosen flooring is the perfect combination with the white tones of the rest of the house.
In the kitchen we managed to create a modern space, very easy to clean and, above all, useful. The kitchen has a lot of very well integrated storage space and, although it is not very big, we have incorporated two stools that make this room round.
If you notice, throughout the flat we have opted for sliding doors. It is a type of door that allows us to make the most of every last centimetre, they are very modern and are a very interesting option in a renovation.
Although Carla’s priority was the dressing room, she ended up falling in love with the rest of the house. At Aquí tu Reforma we sometimes meet clients who have things very clear, but there are people like Carla who need more personalised advice to find out what they need in their home. And although it wasn’t an easy project, Carla already feels like an it girl in the Big Apple!
